Dr. Rosenberg earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Michigan, graduating Phi Beta Kappa, with highest distinction (top 1%). There, he grew interested in ophthalmology while working in a developmental genetics lab, studying the role of various genes in eye diseases. He continued his studies in Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan Medical School. Dr. Rosenberg then completed a Transitional Year Internship at Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Rosenberg completed Ophthalmology Residency at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, where he was elected co-Chief Resident and received the Austen T. Gray Memorial Scholarship. Dr. Rosenberg then completed a two year medical and surgical Vitreo-Retinal fellowship at the Kresge Eye Institute in Detroit.
Dr. Rosenberg is an active member of multiple professional societies including the American Society of Retina Specialists and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has authored five peer reviewed papers and given presentations at national meetings on retinal disease. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at SUNY Upstate Medical University where he helps to educate and mentor medical students and residents.
During his spare time, Dr. Rosenberg enjoys spending time with his wife and twin sons. He also enjoys running, lifting weights, basketball, baseball, and downhill skiing.
